Painting Today Online Exhibition May 27, 2025 - June 27, 2025 Painting is the perennial form of vital encounter with the world. From the ochre handprints of the Chauvet Cave to Giotto's breakthrough naturalism to Malevich's radical abstractions—painters have continuously redefined the possibilities of the medium. Site:Brooklyn seeks submissions for our upcoming exhibition entitled "Painting Today,” exploring how painters are engaging with and challenging traditional approaches to the medium. We welcome works that investigate gestural and figurative painting, abstraction, formalism, and expressionism. These works can speak directly to our current moment, push the boundaries of experimentation, or find what is new and exciting in classical styles. Artists are invited to submit works that demonstrate a critical engagement with painting's history while charting new territories, whether through innovative materials, dimensional approaches, or digital-analog hybrid techniques.
