Exhibition Dates: January 6, 2024 - May 9, 2025 Submission Deadline: December 12, 2024 The BPCC Learning Commons invites artists to submit works for an upcoming exhibition set to take place from January 6, 2024, through May 9, 2025. We are seeking a minimum of 20 high-quality pieces to display in our dynamic space. This is an excellent opportunity for both emerging and established artists to showcase their work in a vibrant, academic environment visited by students, faculty, and the local community. Exhibition Theme The theme is open, and we welcome a diverse range of artistic expressions across various media, including but not limited to: - Painting - Photography - Mixed Media - Printmaking - Textile Art - Digital Art The Learning Commons is an educational and collaborative space, so works that encourage thought, reflection, or inspiration for learning are highly encouraged, though not required. Submission Requirements - Artists may submit up to 5 works for consideration. - A minimum of 20 pieces will be selected for the exhibition. - All works must be ready to hang or display, with clear installation instructions if necessary. - Works of all sizes will be considered; however, due to space limitations, oversized pieces may be subject to specific approval. Eligibility - This call is open to all artists aged 18 and older. - Artists from any location are welcome to apply, though preference may be given to local and regional creators. How to Apply Please submit the following materials to Adrian Crawford by December 12, 2024: - Artist Statement (200-300 words) describing your artistic practice. - Images of Artwork: Up to 5 high-resolution images of the works being submitted (JPEG, 300 dpi). - Artwork Information: Title, medium, size, and year for each submitted work. - Artist Bio (150-250 words). - Contact Information: Name, email, phone number, and website or social media links (if applicable). Artist/s will be notified of the decision via email by December 9, 2024.
